Win your conference with one or no losses and you are in. Big 10 joining really just hurts the SEC and ACC #2 teams, and the AAC champion.

what if for some reason only your backup qb is available versus a really solid opponent. In our case you likely get a very inexperienced backup playing. Talented but inexperienced.

Possibly Penn State or Michigan and normally they lose a head scratcher. Ryan is going to be challenged this year.

How do you get a 9-1 Clemson team? Who do we lose to and what about the other games on our schedule? We will play 12 games and the worst would be 11-1 with a loss to who ever you ptrdict.

He's probably assuming that a game or 2 are cancelled due to COVID, and any game played is a potential loss. Some less likely than others, but anything can happen.
