13 to 1: Ranking the games of Clemson's undefeated season

Clemson's 13 games so far, ranked from No. 13 to No. 1 and maybe not surprisingly starting with the opener and wrapping up with an ACC title. Full Story »

Look at Louisville's db eyes - "how could you let his little

I like the recap. Probably would have sent Wake Forest and Miami lower while moving NC State a little higher. Louisville was a big win in retrospect as none of them mean as much if we lose that one.

Wofford
App State
Cuse
BC
Wake
GT
Miami
NCSU
Louisville
USuC
FSU
UNC
Notre Dame

We had to beat Notre Dame to get national respect, but UNC and FSU to win a championship.

Thanks.
I was torn on N.C. State because the defense struggled so much, and Miami just seemed like the most complete game of the season when there were some folks saying that would be a loss.

Here's to ranking 15-1 in a couple weeks. :)

Would put ND #1. Monsoon, national TV, intersectional game.

Dec 28, 2015, 7:54 PM

ND is not all they are often made out to be, but they have a huge following that ensures eyes on screens. This win got the football world's attention.

We play FSU every year and the UNC game was huge of course, but more about the stakes than the opposition. Would put FSU #2 due to their awesome talent level, and UNC #3.

Switch FSU and UNC imo.

Dec 28, 2015, 8:38 PM

Because of the losing streak, the talent level and the fact that if we lose that game, we don't play for ACC championship.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Also, ND is right at #3

Dec 28, 2015, 8:39 PM

Because if we had lost that game close but still won every other game I still think we're in the CFP.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Looking back, we could have lost to either ND or Louisville

Dec 29, 2015, 2:44 AM

and still gotten in.

Would we have? 12-1 Clemson, 11-1 ND who beat Clemson, and

11-2 Stanford who beat ND. We are nowhere near a lock in that scenario.

Top three were tough. ACC ties pushed those two over the top.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Top 3 in wrong order

Dec 28, 2015, 9:34 PM

#1 is ND. That set the stage for everything else. #2 would be UNC, probably the best team we played and at least on par with ND. Then FSU, then the rest are about right.

Nah, lose to FSU or UNC and we win nothing - especially FSU.

Dec 29, 2015, 8:09 AM

Lose to ND and we are still 12-1 ACC champs with at least a shot at getting in the CFP. ND was definitely the least important of the 3 to win - the real debate is between UNC and FSU. I think being 11-1 and division runners up for a 4th straight year to FSU would've been the most crushing.

3) ND
2) UNC
1) FSU

Would put App State above 'cuse and Wake

Happy with the wins, but....

Tigers didn't play well in the...
Louisville, Syracuse and SC game.

#21

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

UNC #1

Dec 29, 2015, 9:50 AM

or we are not in the playoffs. FSU #2 or we are not in the playoffs and we are not ACC champs. All others are equal.
