Wonder if David Shaw is on the hot seat at Stanford. A very good coach. Too good for Cootland.

Is Southern Cal looking for a new head coach?***

Don't know if there are any Lion King fans around here

but maybe the perfect fit for SCAR is Freeze, after all. I don't think a Dabo disciple fits their culture...Freeze fits the template of the character SCAR in the movie. I know, kind of silly, but just something that popped into my head this morning.

Hilarious to see them gushing about Elliott, Venables and Napier. They won't admit it, but the guy they really want is Dabo himself.

Neither Elliott nor Venables are realistic options for them.

Napier, on the other hand, may be the best option both from an experience and a financial standpoint.

Strange I have not seen Chad Morris mentioned prominently

I think I would pursue him maybe before I would Napier

The Chad didn't fare too well at SMU or Arky

His record is 18 - 40 as a head coach. Not sure you'll see that name pop-up in connection with any head coaching vacancies, certainly not at the P5 level, for the foreseeable future.

Napier would be great for the coots.... but I also think Napier would have serious options (better schools knocking) and would not run headlong into ruining his career on a last gasp school. I don't see why any upcoming coach with 11+ wins at their current school would even consider the coots. Given the competition (Us, Jawja, UF, A&M - and now UT turning around and Kentucky (lol) - they are looking at 6 guaranteed beatdowns. Worse for them, even UNC has a pulse to steal mid-level talent. Combined with their Spurrier level expectations (which happened at an historic all-time low for the SEC least The SECW was beating the SEC E champ by 30+ points), that is just a bad place for a rising star potential of a coach.

Two Notch Road would experience an economic boom with Coach Freeze.***
