Men's Tennis Hosting #1 North Carolina today at 2:30

The #1 North Carolina Tar Heels come to town today to face the Tigers in the indoor facility at Hoke Sloan tennis center.

UNC is 6-0 on the year, including winning the ITA national indoors title two weeks ago, taking out #2 Baylor, #4 Virginia and #3 Tennessee. Safe to say the Tar Heels are the real deal and a serious national title contender this season.


Projected UNC singles lineup: (national ranking precedes the name)


1. #2 Will Blumberg, SR. Greenich, CT (surprisingly returned to UNC for his covid year, when everyone thought ht would go pro)
2. #55 Rinky Hijikata, SO. Sydney, Australia
3. #41 Benjamin Sigouin, Sr. Vancouver, Canada
4. Brian Cernoch, Jr. Rockville, MD
5. #100 Joshua Peck, Sr. Calgary, Canada
6. Simon Soendergaard, Sr. Frederikssund, Denmark (this is one of those Hunter Renfrow guys that feels like they've been in college fot like 15 years)


So obviously not expecting a win here. I am just hoping for an upset or two on some of the courts and a competitive performance. The more important match is Sunday at home vs Duke.
