On my newsfeed this morning, 2 out of the 3 articles on the game last night had complaints about officiating. One centered on the offensive pass interference call against Higgins and the other on the targeting call on Skalski. I hope that the fans that are making excuses for our loss are few and far between. I didn't agree with the call on Higgins, and don't agree with the rule that led to Skalski's ejection, but there were many, more significant reasons for our loss.
I had assumed that fanbases from Alabama last year and OSU this year were fueling the articles on "their" excuses. I would believe now that it is the media, just trying to stir up controversy where it does not exist.
For any LSU lurkers, congratulations, you were the better team. I hope you are there again next year, because I, for one, want a chance for redemption.
Well said. I think we lost the game because LSU had an answer for everything we threw at them, and bad officiating is not a good excuse for a loss. Also, bad officiating seems to be systemic and needs to be addressed.
