+300 means you win $300 on a bet of $100. Any plus means that what you win on a $100 bet.

-300 means you need to bet that much in order to win $100. Any minus means that's your bet to win $100.


You can obviously bet more. For example, Will Swinney is +10000 (100:1 odds) to score last. If you bet $1,000 in Will Swinney to score last, you would win $100,000. Personally, at that point, I'd lay down $10K to win a cool million on young Swinney getting the ceremonial garbage TD at the end of the game.

Correct (even if barely). I’m not a gambler but those dudes in Vegas with money on the line tend to be pretty spot on, on average. Now, of course, they can miss big for single games eg UF last night. Just something fun to look at as I’m starved for content.
