Last Coot coaching search took 54 days. Spurrier quit on Oct

Nov 20, 2020, 4:51 AM

13, 2015 and the Coots took almost two months ( Dec 6, 2015 ) to hire their 5th choice replacement Muschamp. Coots say they fired him now to be the first one on the coaching carousel. But Spurrier's mid season departure about a month earlier didn't help them one bit back then.

Was Muschamp's career end a COVID-19 death? If our game continued as originally scheduled I believe they would have kept him around two more weeks under the delusion that he could have saved his job by beating us.

I don't even think Muschcoot is that delusional to think he was going to beat us.

CussChamp wasn't their 5th choice...

He was more like the 7th or 8th choice.

He still has UGA on the schedule.

If there had been any chance he would be employed there next season they would have let him try to save himself in that game.

Come to think of it, they would have been much smarter to let him play those games because they would have saved $1.5 million by waiting until December to fire him.

I guess it really was urgent that they get it done.

Not only did Muschamp get his buyout upon his firing, but he also got a $1.5 million bonus for taking the next 2 weeks off.

If that's not just plain dumb then I don't know what is.
