Maybe kids want better coaching and mentors, better facilities, a better football environment, a family environment, and to play for and win National Titles. Things Kirby can't generally offer.

we curb stomped the most dominant team in SEC history. I hate to break it to them but it had nothing to do with schedule because if it did that Bama team would not have been able to run roughshod over the entire conference in 2018. We have a rebuilding year on defense( no line), still finish second in the country and these losers who have not been able to do what Dabo has done the last five years come out of the woodwork to take shots at Clemson. It’s just plain pathetic.

Yes.
Earlier I posted a thread that was very pro-SEC in terms of the talent they put in the NFL.
It was not totally balanced, because I have expressed numerous other times in other threads how little I respect some SEC coaches as men. Kirby's comments compel me to add this PS to my thread:
As a rule, SEC coaches squander more talent than other schools ever possess. Whether it's by poor roster management, poor accountability with position coaches, unsatisfactory instruction, overuse of physical drills or just plain dishonest and incomplete communication , an SEC roster is all about survival of the fittest .
At Clemson, parents are convinced that Dabo wants their kids to succeed and it is in his best interest to make that happen. At Georgia, parents who believe that about Kirby are naive. Smart will never be held accountable for the players who failed to succeed on his watch.
If Smart wants to defend himself on the PF show, he needs to stop blowing his talent and his opportunities.

He is also selling hard reality, what he has to offer. His players compete against much stronger players than Dabo's kids will compete against.
What would he gain by not saying this? What did he get for saying this?
