Used to be against the law to desecrate the American flag. You couldn’t burn it, spit on it, drag it on the ground or wrap your nasty body in it. But ignorance of the rules that govern the flag and progressive liberalism caught up with it. It is also a shame that we lower the flag for every Tom, Rick and Harry that dies. I mean we really lowered our flag because someone killed a bunch of drunken homosexuals in a nightclub in Miami? God help this country.

Remember it is protected speech under our 1st Amendment.

What a bunch of pansy snowflakes in here. The NFL kneelers and flag burners do it because they know you snowflakes will melt. Had "conservatives" ignored it no one would know who Kaepernick is. It's pretty childish, and I don't think a lot of countries do allow it.
Which is partly why ours is great. We are exceptional with our freedom of expression.
It's already been tried in court. Texas v. Johnson.
Imagine how the government would abuse such authority if it weren't permitted.
