Arm still hasn't woke up. Not that I am complaining about

lack of pain so far. But, raised it up to adjust the sling, and it hinged around at the elbow and wopped me in da face. What a weird deal, to have no control of an arm from just below the shoulder.
I know, when control comes back, so will pain.

Glad it went well, you could always use a crossbow to golf with until your arm is healed, then you’ll be back to 10 under par!

Keep plugging. I had a pain I thought was a sprain in my left wrist and hand around Memorial Day only to learn it was a bad infection needing three surgeries, two weeks of intravenus antibiotic, and therapy ever since and for the next six months to get back as much as possible the use of my hand. I hope if you have any of that going on it goes better for you. It does get better, don't let it get the better of you. Take your doctor's and medical professionals' advise and do as much as they tell you, and don't assume you can do your job full time if it interferes with your treatment or therapy. Take care of you!

Glad to hear that all went well, and hoping for a speedy recovery!!!
I went into Providence heart hospital Thursday morning for a left and right heart cath checking to make sure the partial blockage I had in 2015 hadn't gotten any worse, and God has been really good to me bc, they found that I only had a 20% blockage, and when they checked in 2015, I had a 50% blockage in the left side going into my heart. My diet change over the past 5 years has been good for my heart, praise God Amen!!!

3BP done in 2015. Their pain management FOLLOWING surgery absolutely sucked. Since I told them so, amazingly, I was not asked to complete an Exit Survey.

76er, I have been in pain management since 2006 right after my second of 4 major back surgeries. Pain management has went from pain specialist actually caring, and trying to make needed people that live in constant pain comfortable, to not caring anymore bc so many people were lying about be in pain just to get the medication to sell to the drug heads that has no other reason for pain medication than to use it for getting high.
And now that so many of those pain med junkies have overdosed and killed their stupid a$$ self, the government has stepped in and made it very difficult for pain management specialist Doctors to do their job without being accused by local government and law enforcement for over writing prescriptions like pill mill Doctors are doing bc they want to get their cut of the billions being made by from pain medication. Bc of this going on with the pill mill doctors, the people that do have to have pain medication just to have a less painful day, it's getting harder and harder for those that are legitimately needing pain meds, are finding it almost impossible to get what is needed.
My pain meds have been cut back twice in the past 6 months, but there hasn't been any medical breakthroughs to help back injury people like myself to get any relief from our pain. I'm never out of pain. I wake up in pain, and I go to bed in pain, and I very rarely get more than 3 hrs of sleep bc of pain, and I can't get the needed pain meds anymore bc of the people that don't need the medication are abusing, and killing their stupid ### with it bc they have taken so much, that it takes lethal amounts of the medication to get the feeling from it that they're wanting to get from it but can't, bc they have abused it for so long.
Those are the people our society are wanting to save, and to H&11 with the old people that need pain medication to get their old and broken bodies through a day without crying out in pain every day for the rest of their lives. It's a sad fact, but it is a fact, and nobody knows that better than I do bc, some days as I sit here in excruciating pain, and I think a lot about stopping it by just checking out, and the pain is bad enough to entertain those thoughts!!! And I know that I suffer through my pain bc our government makes law that coddle the abusers that are killing themselves just bc they are after the narcotic effect...
The crazy thing is that, those people, the abusers, they are going to get that medication regardless of any laws the government makes that cruelly causes the elderly that has worked their entire lives, and have worn out, and broken down their bodies, they are the ones suffering the most from the pain medication laws our government make!!!

I am right with you, since 1990. Three lower back surgeries to date, and looking at a fourth. Due to all the "opioid epidemic" bilge, my Primary Doc just flat kicked all long term Pain Management patients to the curb ~5 years ago. I have been in Specialist Pain Management since then, and VERY fortunate at that.
Like you say, the crackheads will get theirs either way, so this is just one more reason I despise Obama. He was the parrot harping about an "epidemic".
Be advised that Providence Heart Hospital, unless they have recently changed, uses only low dose Hydrocodone pills for post heart bypass surgery pain relief. I did my level best to explain to them that due to tolerance built up over 25 years, it would not provide me the same benefit as someone not already on that regimen.
But, the real reason I give those azzhats such low marks is this: They said their cycle following surgery was pain meds every four hours. NO IV PAIN MEDS, NONE. And then, they proceeded to NEVER be on time with it. Might be 4.5 hrs, might even be 5 hrs, but NEVER what they themselves said they were going to do. So, you can imagine what pain I endured, since even their nominal dosage barely matched what I normally took daily, WITHOUT the extra added attraction of having my chest sawed open.
So, I would advise anyone already on long term pain management via Hydrocodone to give that particular hospital a WIDE BERTH. (And THAT is why I was not asked to complete their Exit Survey.)
