Barring injury he won't get meaningful PT this year and TL will likely take over for KB at some point next year

People who say it's a given that Trevor Lawrence will come in and start right away are being way too presumptuous. I predict he will be brought along slowly just as we've seen with Kelly Bryant and Hunter Johnson. Dabo is not going to risk losing a possible national championship to satisfy ignorant fans or prima donna recruits who put themselves above the team. When the coaches have complete faith that he'll do a better job then the people in front of him, only then will he get the job.

But, I'd guess HJ has a leg up going into Spring Ball. A full year in the system, he'll know the playbook just as good as KB and better than TL.
Because he played HS ball in Illinois,it's taken him a little longer than DW4 to learn it. Remember, DW4 played this same system in HS.

I'm not sure if you have been a Clemson fan for long, but if KB takes us to the playoffs again and finishes strong, Dabo will say the whole off season that "Bryant gives us the best chance to win" and will play the whole year. Dabo isn't gonna take an upperclassmen off the field, even if their back up is better

I'm not advocating that he start Hunter now, but Dabo surely saw Hunter's talent and should have started him to start the season. KB could have been the back-up, if needed. Go #ALLIN!
