I certainly want Clemson to win in ALL sports. Having said that to be more concerned about losing an early season baseball series ( even if it is the Coots) as more concerning than our basketball games right now seems a little ridiculous. Our basketball games and tournament seeding is much more important now than who wins an early season baseball series which over a 60 game season is basically meaningless in the overall success 2 months from now.
Agree that we want to win every game every time. But I'm not about to lose my mind over these losses, even if it did give the coots an early boost. The games were extremely competitive, both 1-run games. The walk-off hit in the first game was certainly given every effort on defense (didn't see the 2nd game). Pitching staff struck out 21 over 11 innings in the first game. Offense scored 7 runs in the 2nd game. Hardly a time to panic. If we'd given up 21 hits and been blown out 12-0 and 8-1 or something, maybe show some concern. But that's not what happened.
