rivalry Saturday, but the ACC should not be letting Notre Dame compete for title and should not have revamped the entire schedules of all 14 teams. That was all Notre Dame.
The only shrewd move was to put the blame on the SEC if the rival games are cancelled, but it was very shrewd.

The Holes and most of the ACC don't have an instate rivalry game from the SEC they play and is important to their state, alumni and fanbase. CU,GT,FSU, and Louisville do. Imagine Duke was in the SEC and the little basketball rivalry matchup with UNC went away as a result of helping ND. Wonder how the state of N.C. would feel about it then?

Just about everything he writes is snarky, pessimistic, or overly critical of some person, some team(s) or some conference(s). This leads me to believe that he is either a negative personality type or that someone continually pisses in his cornflakes.
Forde has some decent factual information in the article but just can't help himself in presenting it in a manner that attributes negative motives - in this case to the ACC for actually being the first to put out a schedule. Forde attributes the ACC's main reason for being the first to release a COVID-19 College football schedule/plan was to put the onus on the SEC in the rivalry game match-ups. Here's a thought - maybe the ACC just felt it was time to stop wringing their hands over the scheduling issue, make a decision, and move forward so the Conference schools could actually make plans for the season. We are, after all, about 45 days away from kicking off and schools have got to have something to work with so that they can make plans for how they will travel, set up attendance at games, and the million other things that have to happen to support a college football game.

True. Why would one conference try to get cute with the other? Just work the rivalry games out and get it done.

the SEC has to now respond to a move made by the ACC, instead of us dancing like a puppet with them holding the strings. Their fanbases will NOT like canceling of the rivalry games, since, other than USuK, the SEC teams would be traditional favorites in those games.
