Continuing to track the Coca Cola Training issues...

Feb 26, 2021, 10:28 AM

Some updates in this NYPost Article:

1) LinkedIn dropped the training from their offerings "at the request of the 3rd party content provider we licensed this content from" according to LinkedIn. Interesting. I wonder who they are licensing that from and why they would be the ones to request it be removed?

2) DiAngelo, author of White Fragility, says that she was unaware she was featured in the course, and that the way the course was provided would not be how she would teach it.

3) Coca-Cola denies that the training was mandatory but Borysenko told the outlet that multiple workers said it was, in fact, required. This seems like a darned easy "he said, she said" to clarify. I find it doubtful that Coca-Cola would deny it was mandatory if it in fact was required. I would expect more of a "We made it mandatory but didn't realize what all in entailed" type of response if that were the case. Perhaps some managers mandated it to some of their employees? Maybe the employees that claim it was mandatory are lying, or just misunderstood the curriculum? I think this deserves clarification.

and boycott it over some HR issue (that wasn’t ever an issue, just skewed news from right wing media).

No, I'm saying shrugging this stuff off without any pushback

Feb 26, 2021, 11:46 AM

and allowing it to fester is what loses the culture war.

But there was pushback and it worked, so... that's good.***

Feb 26, 2021, 10:35 AM

Coca Cola hired a Diversity Director because its en vogue thing to do in corporate America

Well the Diversity Director was allowed to run amuck because there was mo one assigned to supervise them

Yada, yada ... training finally hit the commoners and boom ... instant controversy

Insufficient. You spoke as if you had direct knowledge of this particular situation.

Is anyone actually defending the "be less white" training? Even the White Fragility lady said it was bad. This seems like an issue that the left and the right can both agree upon.

badge-donor-05yr.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

I have not seen anyone outright say that it is a good training.***

That harder drugs like heroin and cocaine should never be legalized ...

Now the left coast is planting the seeds of “a couple of grams should not be a crime”

The Left has patience thats for sure

For someone so smart, you seem to be technology challenged

I saw the story...read Coke's comment on LinkedIn's training...have some exposure to LinkedIn's training and I believe it and I moved on.

Buddybook is filled with people taking pictures of themselves drinking their last Coke. Idiots
