The ideology coming out of the westzone
Oct 15, 2017, 1:27 PM

from all we can see and observe from the game and postgame interviews goes something like this:
"We believe KB is our man, limping, gimpy, 60 %. We have a running game that depends on him a lot, but oh well, even with a bad wheel, he's our guy because of his experience and ability to make plays. We'll just move the pocket around. A 60% KB is better than the 4 and 5 star guys we have in waiting. We'll just figure out another way on the field. Our "great" defense" will just have to carry the day also."
Rhis is basically what we saw and was represented during the game and postgame comments, particularly by TE.
Am I wrong?
Discuss the implications of this for the rest of this season.

I think your assertion presumes he was limping and gimpy from kickoff, which wasn't the case and thus nullifies the thought that our coaches are sending that message.
I will agree that he was left in too long, and due to that we saw our #2 come in under pressure and not get it done.
Beyond that, I don't think at all that our staff or team felt the way you suggest.
I will say, that I very much hope that we give the backups extensive reps with the #1's this week, as the crucial QB spot is up in the air.

Interesting that you say...

I didn't study him from beginning and was not home to watch till second half. However, I have family members who were watching from the beginning and they noticed he was limping in warmups and at the beginning of the game - and they don't even watch us that much. From what I can gather, it was clear to a number of people that he was not good from the beginning.
Added to this, when it was more noticeable and obvious, they still did not take him out. So I stand by what I perceive to be the "Westzone Ideology" until proven otherwise.

I didn't notice him limping in warmups. It was late in the 1st quarter when I thought he needed to come out.

With a concussion their will be no choice but to give the back ups extensive work with the 1’s this week. I don’t think KB will be cleared for practice, at the earliest the Monday before the GaTe h game.

First of all, star rankings mean nothing.

Willy Korn taught me that.
Second, "a 60% KB is better than the 4 and 5 star guys we have in waiting" is a scary thought if true. We might be in trouble.

If the offensive line would have blocked Kelly would not have got hit in the pocket. The running backs could have gotten the first down. And that all comes down to effort by the players. Quit with all the second guessing the players have to play.

We were at the game 90 minutes before kickoff. It was obvious during warmups that KB could not cut. He could barely run along the sidelines without limping. He should have never played. Our D was never set. The HUNH Cuse O kept them off balance all night. Both of these situations are the result of POOR COACHING, SOMETHING we have not seen in many games. Reply
