In 1918 Georgia Tech hosted a football game during the Spanish Flu pandemic. Just sayin'

They also wear white painters overalls to games, think that raggedy varsity place is good, and congratulate each other for being “turnt up”; just sayin.

On the real though there was also a world war raging at that time. The buzzy bees were one of the few teams that continued to play games while the rest of the world’s boys were fighting and dying for our country. So, prolly not gonna use them as my benchmark.

Sounds like you may still be ticked that they beat us 28-0 in 1918.

John Heisman had a real good team and it was said that he was not about to dismantle his team war or not.

Just saying, Philadephia completely filled every hospital bed in 72 hours... after a festival.

In fact, that lone event made Philadelphia's mortality rate unmatched. Still, that parade was to raise money for the war effort - more important than football.

Between 50 & 100 million people died from the Spanish flu. Philidephia had the feeling it had overcome the worst and held a parade.
We have not yet seen the end of COVID-19.

Wasn’t that right after the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor?
