I'm all for Kendrick stepping in. Forget Powell

He can ride the bench for all I care. I've never seen a player do what he did at the basketball game. Such disrespect for his future alumni and current student athletes. I mean imagine being a Clemson basketball player and seeing someone you know wearing that UNC jersey front row at your own place. Pretty messed up and I'm not forgetting.

What about the thousands of other UNC fans sitting in LJ? I’ve been to UNC games in LJ and it sounded like a UNC home game.

Far as I'm concerned, ALL our other receivers would have to

be injured before he would see the field again in any view other than from the sideline bench. Not even standing, BENCH!

If Powell were to earn the position, he should play.***

Just wait until 9/28 week when we play UNC in football. It will be front page.

Although a bonus for any receiver's abilities, I don't think YAC is as important as the ability to gain separation at or beyond the line to gain and make the catch. Those are extremely important things for a slot receiver or a TE, as they are counted on for 3rd down conversion.

Actually the news that Kendrick was playing CB on D was a little disconcerting to me when I see how good he would be in the slot or running Jet Sweeps on O. I don't care to be a coach or pretend to understand, so I had no problem with them trying to get such a talented player on the field somehow.
But, with the injury to Amari, that changes things a lot for Kendrick IMO, as he could easily be the new slot receiver IMO. My guess is that Kendrick will be our primary slot guy. But it's JMO.
I have no opinion about Powell, but I have huge respect for Kendrick and his abilities and talent. I would compare it to seeing that TL16 would win the starting QB position last year, as it was pretty clear to me who was the most talented. Dabo handled that way better than I would have, and I am confident he will do the same with Kendrick.

Do some of you guys get your feelings hurt as easily over things that actually matter as you do with sports?

I could care less about. If Powell earns the position, let him play it. I am not about to hurt my football team over one stupid,(not illegal) act by a young man.

Who cares? If this is at the top of the list for things you're worried about then that's quite sad. He grew up loving UNC basketball, big deal. He plays WR for the Tigers and has won two rings so quit saying he's not a Clemson man. He can support whatever teams he wants to, shouldn't offend an old man like yourself but it clearly has.
