Our injury riddled defense gives up 151 less total yards and 14 less points. And the 14 less points puts the point total given up at 23, not 33. Remember, the offense gave Notre Dame 10 points without our defense giving up a yard. And that is without Davis, Skalski, Jones, Landers.
Instead, everyone talking about our defense giving up 512 yards and 47 points.

We make the first down and Notre Dame game ending 91 yard drive never happens. Neither does the touchdown to end regulation or the two overtime tds.
Really makes you sick to think one first down and our injured defense holds them to
26 points. That includes 10 points the Irish got from zero offensive yards on the fumble td and negative offensive yards on the field goal drive.
So one first down would mean
Our deg gives up 300 plus yards instead if 500 plus. Also 26 points instead of 47. And 10 of 26 points no fault of the d.
