If the Patriots force Brady's hand by not resigning him,

would he actually play for another team, or would he retire? I get the feeling Belichik is ready to move on to the next guy, but Brady refusing to retire is putting a crimp in those plans.

I think Barnacle Bill is vain enough to want to prove that he can win a Super Bowl with another guy at QB, which is another reason I think Brady could be done there after this year. It all will depend on who the Pats are able to draft at QB, or more likely acquire in a trade. Bill has already made an exception to "The Patriot Way" of doing things by keeping Brady around this long. The Pats usually try to get rid of players who still have some playing time left rather than signing them to huge deals.

I think he would play if it was for the right team, I couldn't see him in Jacksonville, Tampa, New York, or any teams like that.

In 2008, Matt Cassell took over for an injured Brady, but the Pats didn't make the playoffs despite an 11-5 record.

You are correct, sir, Belichick has never won in the playoffs without Brady at QB.
