Report: Ohio State Football Dealing with More Positive......

Dec 18, 2020, 11:48 AM

CoVID-19 Cases

Ohio State is preparing to play on Saturday in the Big Ten championship game against Northwestern, but it sounds like they will be short-handed again.

UPDATE AS OF 10:45 AM ON FRIDAY, DEC. 18

While the Buckeyes may be dealing with positive tests (which the school has not confirmed), there's still no reason to believe that the Big Ten Championship Game is in jeopardy. Every school in the country has dealt with playing through the pandemic and positive tests are part of the deal this year. Look around the league this week alone - multiple games have been cancelled this weekend.

Ohio State has practiced this week as scheduled and will still travel to Indianapolis this evening ahead of tomorrow's game against Northwestern.

The Buckeyes will release their game day status report on Saturday morning before the game, specifying only which players are unavailable this weekend. The report will not confirm whether any players are out because of a CoVID-19 diagnosis.

Jeopardy and Ohio State. Two words that do not go together.

If it were Northwestern having the 'positives',

Dec 18, 2020, 11:52 AM

Dollars to Do...err...Bucknuts, that message would be totally opposite of the soft-sale, 'It's not a big deal' tripe that's written. Nope, it would be (self)righteous indignation that Northwestern would EVER selfishly compromise the the welfare of a B1G member institution and the B1G's entry into the CFP.

The ######## have an answer for every scenario out there. Can't trust this bunch with the truth. They will reconfigure it.

You know what - "let them in so they can get embarrassed"! IF their safety protocol is 21 days(we know they change rules in the Big 10) then they are going to be short handed. They have had a hard time running the football and JF will be w/o his number one target! Their secondary looks vulnerable and while good their DL isn't as good as it was last year!

My hope in saying let them in is another 31-0 beat down or worse! Something epic that will wake up the folks who decided not to look at A. who they played. B. the number of games they played.

Everyone - some of our new starters as well coached as they are - it took 8-9 games before they were comfortable. Let alone until they were ready to be stars. OSU lost a bunch from that team a year ago and the teams they played so far have not gotten those new starters ready for a team "just as talented"!

I feel they are setting them up for a beat down honestly! But, stubbornness looks like it will win out! Oh well!

We'll see if their new starters got enough actual game reps versus Rutgers or winless Penn State a month ago to compete! Doubt it.
