If he really wants to help the people who are hurting and ensure that they don't stick it in a savings account
he should send it in a walmart gift card.

He'd close OSHA, end all regulations. Shut down the EPA. And say covid is gone, carry on.
Fact is our economy has been "stimulated" since my early childhood. Continuously. Collectively to the tune of 1.5 year's worth of work for every working man, woman, and teenager. If you work (enough to pay taxes) you have a mortgage of $220,000 that you don't even know about. But instead of paying down the mortgage, we're adding rooms, pools, and other crap to the house and it's just growing and growing.
And we're paying $400,000,000 in interest (ONLY) yearly on this mortgage, minimum payment, and paying down no principal. 16% of our revenue pays this interest, and that's with interest rates at below 2% and very little inflation.
So "open up" the economy, those interest rates climb, and bewm, end of the game.
So no, Biden won't open up the economy. He can't. Trump can't. No one can really. Government has no revenue source other than extracting money from the economy they tell us they are responsible for. Their net stimulus to the economy is the amount they spend OVER the amount they extract from the economy (taxes/revenue). $27,000,000,000,000 presently.
This doesn't end without pain. Just doesn't. Can't.

That is not a bad idea - the card, not Walmart.
OTOH. WE could ALL glean the meaning of stimulus and make a pledge to spend the money at our local, struggling businesses that we would like to see survive - and help crank up the money multiplier effect.
