It will be interesting to see who comes back to Tiger town for a bonus year.

So, does this affect the scholarship numbers? Is there leeway given?

Whatever choice(s) you make makes you. Choose wisely.

I would think it would but am not sure how that will play out.***

From my understanding everyone gets an extra year of eligibility, but only players that are seniors this year will not count against scholarships going forward.

That's the way I read it. But the school doesn't have to take them back.

Why wouldn't a school welcome back their seniors ?/

$$$. Not all schools have the resources we do and nobody is offering to help them pay for a bunch of extra scholarships.

No. Returning seniors will not count against the allotted 85 scholarships.

Who Can't Come; If a SR Holds Up A Scholarship

Dec 11, 2020, 9:30 AM

The one time transfer rule and the NCAA allowing a 1 time transfer w/o penalty thing will certainly be interesting in January!
You have to ask. What about the incoming class of players that has not been thinned out yet! Due to transfers/leaving football/etc. How will that work? Is it also a one time - you can have as many as you can hold thing as well?

If there is a silver lining as it relates to college football - the ability of a RS SR to come back is one. Or a true Sr. to come back is huge.

Going to be interesting.
