I thought it was a really good movie. The Clemson Family culture is now captured for the world to see. The only negative, imo is that they didn't truly capture Coach Bowden or Coach Swinney's personality. They missed on both. Those that don't know the program, or the story will thoroughly enjoy it too. Go Tigers!

Yeah, Coach Simmons in the movie is supposed to be Dabo. That's what I mean by they missed on their personality.

The producer of the movie said Coach Simmons was what they call a “composite character” - a fictional character that is meant to represent a group of coaches, not just one single person.

That’s what I keep telling these idiots. Everybody thinks it’s Dabo because of that comment he made about his mother sleeping on a cot with him in college.

Ray Ray was a RB & DB

Dabo was a WR coach

They took a little piece of Dabo!s story and threw it in for dramatic affect. The coach for Ray Ray in the movie was absolutely a composite character and I have explained this to people in other posts And told them that this is a routine thing done in movies especially when it’s based on a true story because probably 50% of the movie is dramatic affect or what they call artistic license.

They took Ray Ray’s story and portrayed the facts of the story accurately but all the stuff surrounding it that made up the bulk of the movie is just feel good artistic license composite character BS. Typical Hollywood stuff.

Dabo was a young position coach and Ray Ray was not a wide receiver. Dabo probably had very little interaction with Ray Ray when they were in Clemson together. That coach in the movie was not Dabo! He was a composite character in that little sliver of conversation where he mentioned his mother living with him in college was taken from Dabo‘s life for dramatic effect, which is part of what they do with composite characters. It’s a typical Hollywood thing in movies when based on a true story.
