After many archeological expositions, I’ve determined it was somewhere in this timeline. Turns out, It was rather hard to lift their Fragile trophy from the tons of mud in order preserve it with a plaster cast. unfortunately, as soon as the artifact touched air, it disintegrated on the palm of my hands. Oh well, they have many of number 1 recruiting class trophies to admire.

I thought this was about recruiting championships .

Georgia winning football national titles is as foreign to most of us as recieving a standing ovation in front of a synagogue for pulling off a klezmer clarinet solo .

I'm still trying to figure out how UGA had a national championship magically appear out of thin air one day from all the way back in 1942.

All of the other students from schools were too busy fighting in WWII while UGA administration thought they’d gain the upper hand on the 1943 #1 recruiting class trophy by wining their fake national championship.

No, I'm saying 1980 was UGA's only national championship for a long long time, then one day after they couldn't actually win another one on the field they added 1942 and had two.

Next time I drive thru GA, I will have a bumper sticker "Honk if you were alive when UGA won a National Championship". Should be a very quiet ride.
