I thought I would share this story from Clemson's camp this

Jun 25, 2019, 10:51 AM

year. A friend of mine from out of state took both of his boys to camp at Clemson. (Disclaimer, neither of his sons are big time recruits but they both play hs football and the family has always been huge Clemson fans and dad graduated from Clemson back in early 90s).

During most of the workouts, his youngest son was in the same group as Dabo's son, Clay. After making a diving catch on one particular play, Clay came over and high-fived him and they chatted the rest of the time between drills. He asked Dabo's son "hey, is what everybody says about your daddy going to alabama true?" Clay laughed and replied "no way, my dad always tells us that alabama is not the same alabama that he used to know when he was there. My dad built this program and is proud of it and he doesn't plan on going anywhere."

I thought it was funny that he asked Clay about it but kids are different and they say and ask what pops into their mind a lot of times. I also liked hearing a family member's perspective like Dabo's son.

TLDR version: Dabo loves Clemson.

I had a friend take his son. Decent player, but was treated

by all the coaches the same as if he were big time. Other than the golf cart ride with Dabo. He said all kids were treated with respect and taught and coached hard. Kid loved it.

My son went 3 years in a row. It's amazing how great the camps are run. Coaches and players treat the kids great!
This was Clay last year throwing a pass to my son. He's worked the camp for a few years.
