A month or so ago, the Columbia State paper ran an article on Jake Bentley. The article also stated that after the first two "tuneups" they would get into the SEC schedule. I sent the article and a note to Coach Mack Brown saying I don't believe the Tarheels will take kindly to be seen as "tuneups" to the Gamecocks. Coach Brown replied as follows:
Tom, Thanks for the article about our opener against S.C. We lost a lot of respect on the field the last couple of years. Our guys are working hard to turn that around! Go Heels, Mack.

It's been extremely entertaining listening to them in meltdown mode on the local radio this week. They don't have a clue what to do next. They have painted themselves into the proverbial corner and the only way out is to walk through the dookie. A lot of it.
