A Fun Comparison between KB and DW after 5 games

Just for fun, I compared Kelly Bryant and Deshaun Watson pass attempts, completions and Int’s through the first 5 games:


Watson: 181-110-7 (60%)

Bryant: 130-86-3 (66%)


I am happy to see that the coaches can adjust the offense to the talent of the team. Kelly Bryant isn’t being asked to be or play like Watson. He is just being the best Kelly Bryant he can be. Having a better running game than last year really puts Bryant in a better position to manage the game and not always have to put the whole team on his back like Watson did many times.

As much as I like Chad Morris and would be happy to have him back if the fates worked out that way, he tried to make Cole Stoudt another Tajh Boyd and he just didn’t have the abilities that Tajh had and he struggled. When Elliot and Scott had a chance to call plays to his talents against OU he had the best game of his career….My point being is I really appreciate how good of a coaching staff we have.

I believe it was 2 tipped balls by his receiver and then a breakdown in blocking. They still count against him, but he's yet to have an INT for forcing a throw or making a bad decision.

DW through 5 games: 68.9
KB through 5 games: 77.94

TD's through 5 games:
DW: 14 (all passing)
KB: 10 (3 passing, 7 rushing)

QB Rating average through 5 games:
DW: 154.22
KB: 138.22

Long pass average comparison through 5 games:
DW: 34 yards
KB: 51.6 yards

Pass attempts in 5 games:
DW: 181
KB: 130

Rush attempts in 5 games:
DW: 49
KB: 85

Interceptions in 5 games:
DW: 7
KB: 3
