People acting like it is a joke. Same amount of games as college. Best team is found. 182 games is insane

I think it's actually 162 games, but still unreal. I had a physics prof. at Clemson back in the day who paused during a lecture for a side note to say, "you know, some people play football, some run marathons, some want to swim the English Channel, but only a fool plays baseball!" The strength and conditioning required to play that game day-in-and-day-out is simply insane. However, it's the greatest game that God ever invented!

It's still good, but it sucks for stats. I agree that it is way too long usually. That's part of the reason so many used PEDs.

There's an old adage that "The best team in baseball will lose 60 games, the worst team in baseball will win 60 games.. It's the other 42 games that make all the difference."
