After it was popular, they tried to cancel it.

You see, many of the people portrayed in the play owned slaves. The play doesn't accurately depict the slaves and the anti-slavery stances of many of the politicians.

I also find it ironic that wokes demand more roles are played by gender/race/ethnic correct actors yet leave that aspect of Hamilton alone.
