I could see the CFP setting up Clemson - Notre Dame III

If the game Saturday is close (esp. if it goes OT again) with a Clemson win, I could see them setting up the rubber match in the CFP Semifinal.

We have seen in the past that the CFP committee seems to adjust rankings to get specific matchups.
Seemingly they set up matchups to get the best tv ratings.
I can't imagine Clemson vs ND #3 getting great tv ratings only 13 days after the #2 game and with no games in between.
I'm not saying that they wouldn't put them 2/3, but it would go against their previous moves for sure.

Alabama vs. Notre Dame
Clemson vs. Ohio State
OR if we blow out Notre Dame...
Alabama vs. Ohio State
Clemson vs. Texas A&M
If Ohio State loses to Northwestern, then Texas A&M takes their place in the first scenario and Notre Dame takes their place in the 2nd. Unless Bama loses to Florida... then it gets much more harry.

and Bama - ND in the other semi. Bama - ND and Bama - OSU would both be ratings monsters, but Clemson - OSU is a better draw than Clemson - ND part 3.

If it is # 1 vs # 4 and # 2 vs # 3 as expected, Alabama beats Florida and is seated # 1,Clemson beats Notre Dame and is seated # 2,OSU beats Northwestern and is placed # 3 and Notre Dame drops to 4th.

I agree and here's why: if Clemson is currently ahead of Ohio State with one loss, why would ND drop behind Ohio State with one loss? ND's loss would be virtually indistinguishable from ours, and ND's two best wins (Clemson and @UNC) would be as good or better than Ohio State's two best wins (Indiana and NW on a neutral field).

If we win along with Bama and the Butteyes winning, I think it will be Bama/ND in the Sugar and Us/031O State in the Rose.
That preserves the agenda of Bama always getting a layup in the semis, while their championship opponent always gets beat up in a tougher game in the other semi.
It would be sweet if ND can knock off the Tide, and Clemson/Notre Dame III was for the National Championship....
