Did Brownell get fired today. If not, why are folks talking about who we should hire. Brownell has another 2 to 3 years left at Clemson, bc D Rad will not fire him without giving him a chance to recruit to our new arena.

Brad Brownell is a good coach, but he needs to learn to recruit better. Give him two years and I hope he gets Clemson basketball turned around. If not, Will Wade at UT-Chattanooga is worth a long look. He's a Clemson grad, was the first coach hired by Shaka Smart at VCU and has the reputation of outworking everyone else. He was the Southern Conference Coach of the Year in 2014, his first year as a head coach.

I would love having a Clemson grad leading our BB program. But I'm also for giving Brad a fair chance in our upgraded BB facility. To not give him that chance would be unfair to hand a new arena over to a new coach.

Updated (face lifted) facility won't help recruiting

BB needed to make the big dance this year to have a story to sell to recruits. The team failed him. You can cite the loss of KJ as an excuse, but new recruits don't see that. So BB is toast in 2years, then we wait 2 more years for the new coach to get things moving hopefully.

Let's check back in 4 years...

I totally agree with Alloran. Too many fans are undermining coach B. Wait until he is no longer coach before hiring another.
