Heard on ESPNU radio this morning

Nov 19, 2018, 8:44 AM

That Bama was “considering” the orange bowl since they have played in the Cotton twice. Anyone heard this from other places as well? To me, I wouldn’t put it past Saban to think through all scenarios knowing Tiger fans would jump at that opportunity and then think we’d be out of $ to travel to Cali.

Won't matter... This year's a business trip.***

All of Alabama's trips are business trips

Well, those radio hosts are idiots. Haven't we been through this every year since it started?

The number one team gets the first site selected, but they don't get to choose that site themselves. It's chosen for them based on proximity to their home campus.

"The seeding determines the semifinal bowl game assigned to each matchup; the No. 1 seed is assigned to the site closest to its campus to prevent it from playing in a "road" environment."

Dallas is 585 miles from Tuscaloosa.

Miami is 780 miles from Tuscaloosa.

If Bama is #1, they'll play in Dallas, period.

It's unlikely, but if Oklahoma gets

in at #4, they'll play Bama in Orange.Too much of a home field edge for Sooners.

Don't recall the last three years that teams have a choice

Nov 19, 2018, 8:51 AM

which bowl to play in. I could be wrong but we have been ranked number ne going into playoffs and don't remember us getting to choose which game to play in.

Miami and natural grasss or Dallas and artificial turf? This would be a super easy decision for me. No contest, nothing to think about, automatic.

Let’s see, go to Dallas and eat bbq all weekend while watching my team play in the coolest stadium on earth, or go to Miami where the thugs run wild and risk the Saftey of our fan base? Oh I don’t know, it’s a hard choice ??

The question is Does the Committee call Saban on a conference call to discuss who, and where he wants
to play ??? Or does just one member on the committee call him to work it out .

He wants Clemson on the least time to prepare .
