Going back-to-back in college sports is pretty hard to do

these days and going undefeated is almost impossible. But somebody has to do it and I can't think of a better team, coach and university to do it than Clemson and Dabo! Great day! I remember in the 90s and 2000s when I was hoping we'd be competitive and win 10 games every now and then. Dang how much one decision can change the landscape of college football and Clemson Football!!!!

Just about anyone can do it in easier sports, like baseball.

Yes it is hard. Being number one means we get everybody’s ‘A’ game every week. For some teams this is their bowl game. Coaches can save their jobs if they win.
One game at a time Guys!
Go Tigers!

coach or a player. It’s flattering, if I do say so myself!
However, I am NOT on the coaching staff, nor am I (even remotely capable and talented enough to be) a player on the team; therefore, to HAYULL with: ‘one game at a time...” “... the next game is THE game..,”, “... don’t overlook [ fill in subpar/over rated team here] ...”
NOT ONLY ARE WE GOING TO WIN BACK-TO-BACK NATTIES, WE’RE GOING 15-0 AGAIN!!!
(Bookmark it girls and boys, you heard it HERE first!)
GO TIGERS!!!!!

I remember having the same mentality for years. I thought that if we could just get the program back to where Ford had it when I came to love Clemson football in the late 80s I would be happy. Dabo has far exceeded my expectations.

Only one team in modern times have won back to back National Championship's; Bama in 2011-2012. Clemson and Dabo could be the second. And no team in modern times has gone 15-0, let alone 30-0 till Clemson went undefeated last year. I think that makes us pretty competitive.

Just think, we will basically be competing for national championships and CFP wins for the next 10 years(length of Dabo's contract), just absolutely the greatest time to be a Clemson Tiger!!!!

I'll be "that guy". I suspect we got everyone's "A" game last year. I think our players are well coached to forget last year and focus on one game at a time. If those two things are true, then last year's record and this year's record are independent. So, the probability of winning the Natty this year is no lower that the probability of winning it last year. It is hard to win two in a row when the first hasn't been won. If the first has been won, then it is no harder to win the second.
Having said all of that... when you mix in the fact that Clemson is the greatest school and team in the entire multiverse and that God clearly love us the most, it is a no-brainer. I think the rest of the world is finally starting to wake up to that reality.
