And cut off an entire segment of the populations financial planning? Besides what would a 5 minute trip to a “convenience” store be without a 15 minute wait for Popcorn to turn in his $3 earnings/dividends and decide what 3 cards he’d like to invest in?

Nothing irritates me more when I'm trying to pay for my gas quickly and get out and have to wait on lottery crap.

For me Only if the pump takes Cash like some Spinx stations. Both family members had card numbers stolen before by using it at the pump. Never again.

Right.
Even worse when they imply that the numbers they've chosen are somehow scientifically proven to be more advantageous than the random whim.
"No, not a #12 for $2, I said a #13 for $2."
Or when they come in the door with their little star chart that somehow gives them more than the standard 60% success rate (or whatever it is now).
I get that slots and cards have mathematical probabilities built in. Lottery tickets? You've got to be kidding. A voluntary tax on the poor and ignorant, that's all it is.

there were only county restrictions on those machines, because once you crossed a county line near there, there were LITERALLY a half dozen video poker "parlors" stacked up against the county line.

Nothing more irritating when you need gas receipt for your company and the paper is out at the pump with a line of people getting lottery tickets,cigarettes and a morning Red Bull.Not that I have a problem in this instance with what folks want to buy.Just refill the paper at the pump.
