Looks like this anemic offense finally bit the team tonight.

Congrats to ETSU. ML, staff, & players better get something figured out b/c the arms will carry only so far. Feel if the hitting doesn't come around gonna make for a long season come conference play & as the postseason gets closer.

Hopefully everyone regroups for the weekend so we can get back on right side of the rivalry this season.

I feel like subbing in 2 guys who are 0-10 and 0-12 on the season (according to the announcers) is a pretty bold move when we're down 2 late in a game too.

No excuse for losing mid-week games.

These losses keep teams out of the post-season. Going to be a long weekend if the bats don't heat up. Absolutely no excuse for this!

I've been agreeing with your explanation since the first season. It's more like they're guessing where the ball will be instead of employing a hitting strategy based on the situation. Can't win them all but we're 8 games in and a pattern is already developing.

Coaches like Martin and Wilhelm are dinasors in the game today. They didn't coach from cliff notes, they coached the game. Just felt it. Corbin is a lot like that too.

Still searching who that go to hitter is going to be.

same ol' same ol'. IMHO it's what's holding Monte and the Tigers back. Pitching seems to be solid (got lit up yesterday) but scoring runs is dismal at best. If we could start hitting, moving runners, a little small ball maybe we can open the flood gates.

Still a big fan of Monte. Go Tigers!

The ACC is loaded this year with top 25 teams. Teams are putting up good numbers early with respect to runs per game....you will be embarrassed this year by some teams that you have scoffed at previously....find the answer or the answer will find you.

As bad as this team is hitting right now it’s crazy to think anybody has the green light 3-0 but they hack at every 3-0 count.
It’s like they think it’s going to be a fastball right down the plate so let’s hit a HR.
It would be nice to see some pressure on the other pitchers. Working the Count , showing bunt , taking a few pitches. Unless this team can figure out a small ball approach it’s pointless.
