Doesn't this yr. remind you of 2016?

Nov 9, 2020, 11:23 AM

Lose to Pitt with a last 2nd FG 44-45.
Win out & win the National Cha,pionship

Lose to ND in 2 OT 47-40; maybe we can win out and win the National Championship......I think getting healthy is the key to the rest of the year. Proud of our guys never getting down and fighting to take the lead and sending it to OT. Not sure about y'all. But I feel GREAT about the future of this program..

In some ways...

But, our OL's inability to open rushing lanes, poor tackling on D, and suspect play at both safety positions has me concerned.

I think we're definitely a top 4-5 team. But if the deficiencies listed above can't be corrected, I don't see us beating Bama or Ohio State.

That said, one of the marks of Dabo's teams (exact opposite of the Bowden years) is continued improvement throughout the season.

Yes, because the only reason we lost to Pitt was

because of that cheat Duane Heydt and his officiating crew, just like that joke of a crew in South Bend.

"IDIOT POSTER OF THE MONTH SO FAR...GWP-- You have won IPM Award for your failure to completely comprehend a clear post & then choose to attack someone who points out your ignorance. While you are not yet in the same No Class Catagory as deRoberts, ClemTiger117 & Tigerdug23, you are getting closer to the Sewer Dwellers." - coachmac

I thought so too. Throw in the '16 NCST close call (= 2020 BC close call). Sloppy mistakes/poor performance at times early. WR performance reminds me of Mike Williams-less 2015 though - relied on Leggett and Artavis, some Charone thrown in with Hunter developing. This year we have Cornell (= Charone), Amari (=Artavis) and EJ Williams in development late in season.

Good points, I think it's closer to 2015 when Mike Williams got hurt and injuries to Alexander and Shaq in the title game against Bama. Exposed lack of the depth/ young players still developing.

Possibly.***
