yes. He had just lost a point to go down 6-5 in the 1st set

and hit the ball in anger to the back of the court. Something that players do a lot, but this one happened to strike the lineswoman in the throat.
It's an immediate default and every tennis player knows it. It's happened a handful of times in history.

few minutes there. He rifles one at the side wall in anger. Thn he falls and tweaks his shoulder and needs the trainer. Then a few minutes later he hits the lineswoman in the throat. Just weird

that one was awful. could hav blinded or killed the guy. To his credit he apologized the guy and took responsibility then at age 17. Djokovic didnt say squat and probably was hustled away by handlers because he going to hear from lawyers

These guys launch a rocket at 125 MPH... Lucky that it didn't crack her larynx and choke her to death... Everyone is responsible for their emotions at all times in public...We wouldn't be having all this BS right now if everyone would straighten up and fly right...

This reaction was not a 125 MPH "first serve". He simply and casually lobbed a ball to the back court out of frustration. I'm sure she felt it, but the "lineswoman" (to be PC, the "linesman") really dramatized the incident. Sometimes you just have to shrug it off and move on. Trust me, she's ok.

And wasn’t expecting it at all and got directly hit in the throat, a very vulnerable spot. That can hurt no matter the force of what hit you.
She reacted for a few seconds after getting hit. You really think she sat there are thought “I’m gonna dramatize this for all its worth”?
Btw her name got released by a Serbian tabloid and now crazy Serbian tennis fans are attacking her on social media. So yeah I’m sure she wanted that attention

Kinda looked like the shoulder to me.It looked a little dramatic. I don't understand why they don't have shields for the linesmen/women. It was certainly unintentional, penalty was harsh IMO.
