As bad as I hate bull pups I just can’t pull for dirtpeckers. My first Clemson road game as a freshman in 1977 was to Athens ....great game and beat em 7-6. Great catch by Dwight Clark and defense was strong. We had a hell of a time jawing w some pissed off dawgs!! Next several years were battles and much tougher than coots.....but growing up and living in Columba I’d rather see Georgia pound em just to shut em up.

I don’t recall ever pulling for the coots. I do recall pulling for Georgia over Florida. I just don’t understand the coots. They have all of the football glory of the Tarholes (actually less) yet they talk endless trash like they’re FSU. It is absolutely amazing to me.

The year I went to Usuck for post-graduate study all the grad students would attend and "pull" for the chickens as George "pothead" Rodgers ran over and through their opponents! Once the Clemson game arrived I proudly supported the Tigers! The various fellow grad students had no love for or loyalty toward USCe as we just enjoyed football period. Having lived in the Midlands for all but one year since 1981 I've increasingly grown to dislike anything Gamecock sports related for a variety of reasons! My wife and I have relatives (her side) who are both Usuck and Georgia fans and I can assure posters I will be hoping UGa. buries the chickens here in Cola town!
Any Tiger grad, fan, supporter living within thirty minutes of Columbia who endured the "five years of hell" under OBC has ZERO RESPECT for anything chicken outside of perhaps their libraries as a resource! As a Historian I can appreciate that element of the university, but all else aside I wish I lived in the Upstate!

Actually USUC beating UGA is in OUR best interest for a couple of reasons.
1 - USUC will be ranked higher when we crush them again in November helping our SOS
2 - UGA might lose some recruits to us if they keep losing with all the talent they have
That said, we would have to listen to the stupid chickens clucking until November. Not sure which is worse. If only they BOTH could lose.

I agree. When I went to Clemson the dawgs were more obnoxious than the coots. I like raiding Ga for talent so would love to see them lose. We will take care of SCAR so let their egos grow until they play Kentucky or whatever Citadel like team is on their schedule this year.

2. Root against notre damne always
3. When 1 and 2 do not apply, root for the Vegas underdog.
