Competitive Culture

Dec 15, 2020, 3:39 PM

I was curious, after Dabo's presser today, on the ACC teams who have had ZERO opt-outs this season. I'm curious on all of FBS, actually, but only had time to look up the ACC!

Below are the total opt-outs per school (as of 12/8):

Boston College - 0
Clemson - 0

Duke - 4
Florida State - 4
Georgia Tech - 0
Louisville - 2
Miami - 3
North Carolina - 3
NC State - 0
Notre Dame - 0

Pittsburgh - 2
Syracuse - 4
Virginia - 4
Virginia Tech - 3
Wake Forest - 1

and for good measure:
South Carolina - 7

I know there's a lot more that factors in to it than the competitive culture of the team, but that's certainly a factor. Look at the teams that had the most and they're among the worst in the conference.

thanks for the info. One correction, 'domers are independent, not a member of the ACC.
