I didn’t see anyone say he would be better than King at Miami or Howell at UNCheat.
That said, I’m always a fan of Brice and fortunately for us he led the drive of his life against Cuse in 2018 making him a legend at Clemson.

He went legendary after the Syracuse comeback drive. That one drive created his image. He’s a good QB but just not the caliber that we’re used to seeing starting at CU. Put him behind the best Oline in the country, next to the best RB in the country, and stretch the best WRs in the country and suddenly you have boosted the chances your QB looks like a superstar.

If I'm being honest the "Chase Brice is the 2nd best qb in the acc" or current "we have 3 NFL qb's on our team" stuff has made me roll my eyes. Clemson has had 2 "generational" qbs for 6 years running, we are very fortunate. If DJU can be something between Boyd/Watson/Lawrence (I think he can) the run will continue

Second best in the ACC? Two weeks ago someone on here was saying he will be an NFL quarterback. Don’t get me wrong, I like the kid and will root for him, but he’s not playing at the next level.

I admit I am one who said he will be on an NFL team and still think that is definitely possible. Here is the thing, he could actually have three seasons to work with Cutcliffe if he desired since this year dosnt count against eligibility. In my opinion David Cutcliffe could make a 3 toed sloth a good passer in 3 seasons.

Biggest issue seems to be decision making under pressure. The 15 or 16 completions he had, many were beautiful execution. But the 20 that he missed were a lot of pressure followed by poor reads and forcing things that weren’t there. If coach Cut gives him more chances, he’s got to start just taking what he’s given. He’s missing the Tiger OL and all those weapons!
