Benefit of a small class in 2021

Dec 16, 2020, 11:47 AM

I know we always sign small classes and are true to the word we give our players. My guess is this year Dabo is being extra careful not to over sign as 2022 will be the class affected most by the pandemic. Everyone gets an extra year and seniors do not count against the 85 in 2021. 2022 will be back to the 85 limit and with juniors staying an extra year classes will be small. An extra 1-2 positions in 2022 might be best right now. We all know several programs will continue business as usual and sign 20+.

Its a nice story but not fact based. Dabo unlike other programs recruits based on available scholarships. There may be some level of attrition but he will never take so many that there is not one or two available for deserving walkons or forcing a good kid to be kicked off the team. He has operated like this from day 1 so the covid reasoning is unfounded

Do you know if Dabo and BV kids are on scholarship? If I’m them I’d pay for my kids schooling or have it worked into my contract and give the scholarship to someone who can’t afford it.

WS is a walk-on Scholarship. JV and TV were offered scholars

hips. It has nothing to do with who can afford it and everything to do with who has earned it.
