So, he was hired to teach “African American & American Literature and Composition”? There are many great African-American writers - Ralph Ellison, Langston Hughes, Toni Morrison, Maya Angelou, etc., etc., etc. They were all Americans. They were, and are, all great writers. I've never known literary critics, educators, or other literati of "American Literature and Composition" to exclude them, and put them in another category, simply and explicitly because they are "African American". There is no color in the writing we read, it's all black and white.
This guy should never teach a single class - anywhere, in any institution.

Furthermore, I imagine he sees his job as to train students to be activists instead of teaching young minds to be independent critical thinkers. Unfortunately, he appears to be stereotypical of a lot of today's "educators"...
Also... Judging by the photo - he could stand to spend less time on Twitter and more time in a dentist chair getting those chompers brightened...
