Just watched the SCU vs. Florida replay..

Gotta say if we had Florida's back up DB's and DE's we'd be undefeated and in the top 5!! Gotta start recruiting defense better. Don't get me wrong I think Dabo and the staff have done a tremendous job in the recruiting field the last few years. However, Even with the defensive recruits we have coming we still lack that "Swag" on D! A coot fan of mine stated the other day that SCU has Ballers on D and just have a different mentality about defense. If i'm not mistaken shouldn't that be us with that type of mentality on D?! We're Clemson and defense has always came first. I'm an offensive minded football type of guy at heart, But the defense has to improve for a National Title. Isn't that what it's all about?? Not just ACC titles?

if you look at the list of uf's recruits that were at the uf/usuc game sat.,you will see that we are recruiting alot of the same kids. we just have to win a few more of the recruiting battles.

Yes agreed, I've noticed that we go after the same guys and we do a great job recruiting out of Florida. I'm just a firm believer of bringing in those guys that are from SC that know the meaning of our rivalry with SCU. Not all of our recruits obviously just that select few that seems to leave the state or go to SCU. Everyone on this board will agree that SCU has out recruited us in the lower and middle part of the state. Especially at the linebacker, running back and defensive back positions.

I'm pretty sure Dan Brooks, Jeff Scott, Chad Morris, And Marion Hobby. I know I've read somewhere that Jeff Scott is recruiting hard out of Georgia right now. Rumors are that's the hotbed for talent.

Ford never coached defense in his career. Give it a rest,he is not coaching again and he is not a candidate for AD either.

The Defense is learning to evolve. They were young but now they are getting more mature, as shown in the VT game. Clemson will keep getting stronger as the last half of this season moves forward.
