David Gilmour was a very underrated guitarist.

(yes, username checks out LOL)... Gilmour is only underrated

by people who are clueless. I've always referred to him as "King of the Strat". Super fast shredding and/or a lot of gimmicks and special effects don't impress me. There's a reason why this solo is typically called the greatest of all time. It's emotional... it just reaches into your gut. By the way, he recently sold his legendary Black Strat for $4 million... it's now the most expensive guitar in history.

To avoid all the annoying cell phones, check out this London show from 1994.

I first saw Floyd in '77, their last tour before the Gilmour/Waters feud and breakup. 10 bucks.

Congratulations on being in the right place, right time for this thread, and only 43 years ahead of the rest of us.

Your comments didn't kill the thread--your "final answer" attitude did. Too bad, because it was great.

My only other Pink Floyd friend is also a rock snob--you've got that in common. But she's also a Fighting Chicken grad, so you're a better class of Moo.

I TUed you anyway. But you owe the OP.

I still consider "Dark Side of the Moon" one of the Top 5 Albums of all time.
