Anybody got any details on Dabo's hat?

What were the patches on the front and sides? What was written on the bill? Anybody got a pic?

The one on the front is the patch for the 1st Infantry Division, known as the Big Red One.

1st Infantry Division...but I'm not sure about the quote. I'd be interested to know that myself.

war. After serving in the Army I did a stint in the SC Army National Guard. I can't remember why, but the relationship between the SCANG and the Big Red One was dissolved and we were attached to a different support batalion. Anyway, I still have my Big Red 1 patch in my mementoes box with the Army Achievement Medal, Signal Corp patch (which is orange and white, hehe) and some other patches/ribbons.
