Any chance Morris joins as an Analyst?

Nov 17, 2019, 12:55 PM

Would be a nice wild card for the championship phase. Just a thought...

I think it would be cool! But, his ego wouldn't allow that.

We have Kyle Richardson as an analyst currently and to me - he is the back up plan - if Elliott or Scott move on. CU running some Lincoln Riley offense will be crazy to look at - (he is an Air Raid coach). By the time he gets his opportunity; I am sure it will look much different than it would have. Taking some things from Elliott and Scott.

Morris - would be good as long as he was willing to do game planning! I thought he was good at that - but was cocky to the point he said, "my game planning is so good; I don't need to make in game adjustments"! But, often teams change things up when they play different opponents. Maybe he gets it now.

The "next in line" is most certainly Brandon Streeter...not Kyle Richardson.

No chance. One, it is too late in the season to be making the kind of adjustments he would most likely recommend and two, you don't want to upset the balance and chemistry that already exists. Having your former boss coming back and looking over your shoulder is the last thing our co-offensive coordinators need right now. Morris has too big of an ego to settle for simply being an analyst and the risk of that ego spilling over is not worth any perceived advantages he might bring to the table.

Yea - that’d likely be the case. Just thought it might be neat to have him help. But he’d likely want to have a heavier hand.

Funny how I have heard no less than 3 coots say that they want Morris to be their next offensive coordinator.
