UofSC hired Will Muschamp because that was all that was left. In 2015, the UofSC head coaching position was the very first opening in college football that year and the very last one filled. It was not because the coots were being picky. It was because that job sucks. They will not get a coach from a mid major school that is having success that wants to parlay that into a higher paying job. They will get someone that is floundering at a power 5 school or someone with a past with the school. Kevin Sumlin, Dino Babers or Rick Stockstill are more than likely the coaches in the pool for SC
