So, got an invite to tomorrow's practice round @ The Masters

Apr 7, 2014, 9:40 AM

I have never been before so of course I accepted.

Other than the world famous pimento cheese sammich, what else is a must?

All to the sew, are phones legal during practice rounds?

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Egg sammich

Apr 7, 2014, 9:45 AM

no doubt

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Take a good camera to get some good pics,

Apr 7, 2014, 9:46 AM

eat all the food you can, walk the entire course.

Amen Corner is usually pretty crowded, but you definitely want to watch a few groups go through.

I like to set up behind #2 green and watch the second shots on it (par 5). They look like they're a mile away and 100 feet above you so it's a cool perspective.

Buy a fold up Masters chair, around $30, but well worth it, plus you can set it in a good spot, go walk the course, and come back to your chair. No one will touch it or move it. One of the great things about The Masters is that their is no special treatment unless you have a green jacket on.

I always see a few celebrities when I go and they have to fight for position just like the average Joe, which is cool.

You can always tell the first-timers when you walk out onto the course because they are kneeling down rubbing the grass or have their mouth wide open taking it all in.

It truly is one of the greatest places on Earth IMO. TV does it no justice.

If she's a screamer, she'll get you arrested.

I will be wearing something with a Tiger Paw on it.

The year Bubba won, we watched them tee off on 18.

Apr 7, 2014, 10:30 AM

There were a couple of young, drunked up Georgia fans standing right next to us. They hooted and hollered a little bit after his tee shot. We all stood around to see what was going to happen, when we realized there would be a playoff we all just held our spots. A plain clothed security guard came up to them before the players got back down to the tee and said "Fellas - I want y'all to have a good time, but if I hear any "Go Dawgs" or "You da mans" I promise you that you are going to take a ride that you don't want to take." It was priceless. That shut them up pretty good.

MauldinT, where are you???

Yes, one way to really enjoy the magnificent

Apr 7, 2014, 10:29 AM [ in reply to beer is cheapppp drink lots*** ]

stimulation of the senses from a day at Augusta is to do as much as you can to dull your senses. And if you drink enough so that you can't remember your day at Augusta, that's an added bonus!

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

In all cerealness, I will enjoy a few beers but not to any

Apr 7, 2014, 10:33 AM

extreme. It's a long ride back home and stopping to pee or puke every 30 minutes would suck.
