ACC becoming a problem

Sep 15, 2018, 5:05 PM

For Clemson's resume moving forward.

### happened? Outside of Taggart to FSU (which is going considerably worse than anyone could have anticipated), coaching across the ACC seemed to be in a better position than in years past.

BC and VT look pretty solid, Miami looks OK...outside of that, I've got nothing.

What about maybe Cuttcliff’s best team at Duke??

Duke is up 17-0 at Baylor without their starting QB and All-ACC CB both hurt and our for game. Will be 4-0 after next week with an easy game.

VT, BC, Cuse all will be too 25 soon

Duke close. State may be undefeated when they come here. Miami still ranked. Because FSU is a dumpster fire everyone declares the league awful. It's not great, and Clemson is the only elite team, but 5 teams are good to solid, and you can probably throw Wake in there as well. In the end, 8-9 will be in bowls

UVA is steadily improving as well, not the cellar dwellers they were.

Basically, NCSU is suspect after 1 decent year, FSU has fallen off the deep end, Miami lost Week 1 at LSU (week 1 is not a good measuring stick for an entire season), and GT has QB injury issues. Everyone wants to concentrate on those 4, like other teams have not taken steps forward. Mainly because ESPN bumped the B1Gs' chest, then when they sputter the SEC had a good Week 1 for them to fall back on. The super conference is a myth, imo.

Not really, our brand is too strong to doubt, as long as we win our games.

If Clemson goes 13-0, you guys are definitely in. But unlike the past two years, the schedule becomes an issue if you slip up in one game. I think the SEC will get two again (Bama, Georgia and/or Auburn) and that leaves two spots for Clemson, B1G (OSU or PSU), and Oklahoma.

We can't afford an ACC loss. I don't think we'll be able to overcome it at the end of the year.

The only difference this year is we Can NOT afford a loss to teams like Pitt or Cuse.
I mean it should never happen anyway but this season it would kill us.
The talent and experience this years team has means no excuse to get beat in the regular season.
We are heads and shoulders better than anything on our schedule.
But these teams are not rolling over , it’s time to start flexing muscles.
