ACC Championship Game update

Should Clemson beat Wake Forest, they are supposed to play at noon on Sunday for the ACC Championship. However, the meteorologists are saying there's a 90% chance of thunderstorms from 9 a.m. until midnight on Sunday.
So...What does that mean?
They will attempt to start the game until 6 p.m, and if that can't be done or if they can't get the game in, the higher seed will be named the ACC Champion.

Really really BS. Play the championship on the diamond. Clemson of course gets screwed out of this arrangement.
The only positive I can see is we don't use pitchers.

Clemson, the lowest seed, beats two higher seeds and ends up in 2nd through no fault of their own. If you guys think WE the fans are ticked off at this, how do you think the players and staff feels??

That's absolutely ridiculous. You earn a title on the field. Instead of just handing it to the higher seeded team, either have both teams as co-Champs or no champ at all.

it's NOT "Regular Season Champs", it's a tournament

a tournament winner has absolutely nothing to do with the regular season. A tournament, even though there are seeds based on regular season standings, starts with everyone 0-0 and on equal footing.
All these "tie-breakers" based on regular season play are patently wrong.

The Tigers are playing great baseball and, if they beat Wake, will likely be a National (top 8) seed.
To not have a shot at the ACC Championship because of weather sucks, but, Look at Where We ARE.
Unlikely National Titles happen.
Regardless of the remainder of the season, Monte Lee has surpassed any/all of my expectations and may lead us to the Formerly-Mythical Baseball Championship this year!
And I hope we eliminate the Gamecocks somewhere in the mix.
The baseball stuff is all that they have on us. I live in Columbia. It's all they've got.

All this whining is kinda funny because if we were the higher seed and they were unable to get the game played, everyone on here would say that's completely fair and how it should be.

What they should do is cancel the meaningless game between Virginia and Louisville tonight, and play the championship game in that slot, but that probably makes too much sense for Swofford
